Metallica: Lost Song ideas

Kirk Hammett has lost his cell phone and so on 250 untapped song ideas for Metallica.

The guitarist of the band admitted in the podcast 'The Jasta Show' that he has lost his phone. He explained Moderator Jamey Jasta: "I was devastated, I had made no backup When it happened I was totally depressed for two or three days I look up today after him [the phone] It might still show up.... I hope that happens. " Next, the 52-year-old was a tip that not only musicians should take to heart: "All the musicians out there who use their phone [to the Ideas Hub], ensures that you make a backup, ok?"

Despite losing cell phone Metallica are working hard on their new album. About this Hammett told that there was similarity with the last album 'Death Magnetic'. It was "super riffig and super hard," says the musician. Between the last album and the new record over six-years and seven months have passed. Recently reported Hammett in an interview with 'Billboard' that currently 25 percent of the new album were completed: "The songs are constantly changing at this point, nothing is set in stone We still have a lot of material, by which we must work through us.. . We have more than a dozen songs and 200 to 300 riffs, so it's hard to say at what point of the project we're actually arrived. I do not think we've done it in half. I would say, we have 25 percent, maybe 30 percent ... "

Mariah Carey abused digital retouching

Thanks to the "magic" of digital retouching, Mariah Carey managed to modify his figure for the cover of her new album.

However, the results have sparked criticism against the singer, believing that Mariah was exceeded.

With a little black dress, Mariah shows off her figure on the cover of "# 1 To Infinity", an album that brings all his subjects number one.

But what caught the attention was how thin he looked and the shape of your face, especially if the picture is contrasted with recent images of the singer, where it clearly is not.

Last year, Carey was criticized for a similar situation, because on the cover of another album he also looked much thinner.

Rainbow surprise cupcakes are sure to delight

These white vanilla cupcakes will surprise everyone with their colorful rainbow filling inside.

I love anything rainbow. I smile every time I see things in rainbow colors, and rainbow food is even better. These cupcakes will trick you too. They seem all plain white and boring, right?

But when you bite or cut inside and see the rainbow, you just have to grin from ear to ear.

It's pretty simple to get this effect too by removing the center of the cupcake and then filling the hole with your rainbow layers of frosting, adding 1 color at a time.

You could also just put the rainbow colors on top of the cupcakes too.

Both ways are pretty special in their own way, as you can see.

Using a knife, cut out the center of each cupcake (save the tops!).

Snip off an end of the zip-lock bag, and fill the hole in the cupcake with each rainbow color in layers. Tap the cupcake after each color to ensure each buttercream layer is packed down.

Top the filled cupcake with a piece of the cupcake scraps you removed.

Frost the cupcake with the white buttercream to finish.

Matilda kahl negotiated with zara for her work uniform

42,000+ shares later, Saatchi & Saatchi art director Matilda Kahl has women everywhere talking about her simplified approach to office dressing. Ad Age interviewed Kahl about her work uniform—black pants, white blouse and leather rosette—that she has been wearing, every day, for the last three years.

For those questioning whether it was the same exact white shirt and pants, Kahl told Ad Age, "No cheating! They are all exactly the same and have been for almost three years, up until a week ago. The shirts had gotten worn out, others stained....So last weekend I spent two days on a rather intense hunt for a new hero shirt. I finally found it at Zara." Of course Kahl needed to order enough to last her another year or so, and after speaking with the store manager, she, "ordered 15 of them, negotiated down the price (as one always should) and walked home with my wardrobe for next year's 254 working days."

Kahl also thanks her uniform for helping with some of her best work professionally—and it almost helped her get a raise. "A friend at work told me that my previous VP at Y&R had come to her a few years ago and been seriously concerned about my well-being after having seen me wearing the same clothes week after week. So worried in fact that she had been working to get me a raise so that I could afford to start dressing properly. Ultimately, I never got that get-yourself-together check, but it would've indeed been amazing."

But Kahl doesn't extend her uniform life to the weekends, "I'm very into dresses... I've never had a problem with being a little overdressed at parties, so during weekend nights I usually run with high heels and lots of colors and patterns."

Here's how much an emergency vet visit can really cost

With all the talk about health care recently, all the pet parents might need to think about their fur babies, too. Exactly how much can it cost for a pet to be treated? The answers might surprise you.

When we reached out to get some numbers, we were shocked. We aren't talking about hundreds of dollars but rather thousands! How do those costs add up so fast, and what can you do about it?

How much can a pet emergency cost? Many of the people we asked quoted multiple thousands of dollars.

Why so expensive? When we take our pets to the vet, it always seems like their appointments are so much cheaper than ours, but when it's an emergency, the tab can get out of hand. Kristen Vance, a veterinarian with Homeward Bound Mobile Vet, says there are many factors involved. She tells us that in an ER setting, there are often more expensive supplies needed to treat animals. They'll need diagnostics like blood work and X-rays done and may even need IV medications.

Another emergency vet reached out to us to explain even more. Melanie Galanis of Artemis Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Services gave us a little breakdown of prices. The prices she gave are specific to the mid-Atlantic area, and at least one other person noted that even in the same city, prices can vary greatly, so you can't "take these to the bank," but the info she provided us is invaluable in showing how it gets so expensive so quickly.

She goes on to note that larger dogs (over 80 pounds) could be more expensive because they need more of things like meds and fluids. She also warns that if the emergency requires anesthesia and surgery, the cost could easily exceed $3,000 to $4,000 for things like bloat or a C-section.

How to afford an emergency When we put our call out for input on this, we asked if there was anything people could do to lower the cost. We even asked about negotiating the price (you can do it with human doctors, so why not?). But the vets noted that they're unlikely to negotiate (at least not as much as you'd like). They don't charge as much markup as human doctors, but they still have bills to pay.

We also asked about payment plans, but that's unlikely, too, it seems. Since you typically only see an emergency vet when you have an emergency, they don't have the relationship with you your normal vet may, and it just isn't good business sense. They have a building to pay for, equipment they need and the supporting employees they pay. And that's fair.

But that's not the end of it. In fact, several of the people who responded (including the vets) did have advice.

Communicate. Dr. Galanis said that it's imperative for owners to communicate with the vet about their finances. They can work with you to find cheaper alternatives without compromising your pet's health when at all possible. She also suggests staying current with your wellness visits and to consider (for medications that apply) having them filled at human pharmacies where they may (or may not) be cheaper. But that's not the only option.

Get pet insurance. Jim Angleton, president of AEGIS FinServe Corp., had several emergency vet situations with his animals over the years. While it's not a product his company sells, Angleton took the time to respond personally in the hopes his own personal experiences could help other pet owners. According to him, pet insurance "is a must and worth every penny." He says his premiums are only $59 a month with a deductible of $500 and that his meds cost much less.

Get specialized credit. Another secret several respondents (including vets) noted was CareCredit. And it's not just for your pets but for you, too. It's built-in financing for medical needs (even your pet's). Lisa Martin, who you might remember from an example above, says her boyfriend had CareCredit and it saved him (and his dog). She's not the only one who recommended it, but she spoke so highly, she had to close with, "And no, I do not represent the company! I am just a huge fan."

Rape culture is still alive at the Department of Veterans' Affairs

Survivors of rape should not have to hear rape jokes at medical facilities that treat rape survivors. But they do. What is the Department of Veterans’ Affairs doing to combat its rape culture?

I like to think of myself as a strong, courageous and resilient woman. After a very brutal rape in 2006 while serving in the United States Coast Guard, I founded the Military Rape Crisis Center. With my wonderful team, we advocated and helped thousands of military rape survivors. We lobbied for better protection for military rape survivors. I have traveled around the globe speaking about rape and worked to eliminate the rape epidemic. I shared my story with dozens of reporters throughout the years — including those from CNN, The New York Times and even Glamour magazine. With all that said, I am still a human being suffering with my own health concerns related to my rape. Just because my job is in anti-sexual violence advocacy does not mean that I can no longer have absolutely normal triggers and reactions related to my trauma. I do. And that is perfectly OK.

Earlier this month, I was at the Jade Opal clinic at the troubled Phoenix VA waiting for my appointment. If you are not familiar with the Jade Opal clinic, it is basically one large waiting room in the main VA hospital where the line often runs out the door. Once inside, veterans sit like sardines waiting for their appointments. As it often happens, veterans talk to other veterans to help pass the time. I got into an innocent conversation about cell phones when a patient made a comment relating his cell phone bill to "being raped." I put on my advocate hat and tried to explain to him why rape should not be used as an ordinary verb. In return, he aggressively called me names, resorted to mocking me and made jokes about rape. At some point my advocate hat fell off. I was triggered. I spent my entire appointment in tears barely able to answer even my doctor's basic questions.

Rape jokes are never OK. When you tell or laugh at a joke about rape, you are normalizing, glorifying and desensitizing the crime. Rape jokes tell a survivor that their nightmares, agony, depression, anxiety, insomnia and flashbacks are not legitimate. How can one have a nightmare about something that has been deemed a joke? For survivors of rape, hearing rape jokes tells them that they need to "get over it" and that their emotions and traumas are a laughing matter. As a result, survivors feel ashamed for what happened to them. It's no surprise that rape is the most underreported crime in our society. There is nothing inherently or biologically shameful about being a survivor of rape. The shame a survivor feels comes from society's views about rape, in which rape jokes play a contributing factor.

I worked with the Phoenix VA in the past on a professional level. I found them to be very professional toward me when I advocated for others. As soon as I felt safe, I dusted off my advocate hat and decided to do for myself what I have done every day for the past nine years. I picked up the phone, dialed the VA and advocated for a veteran — except this time the veteran was me. A rape survivor should not have to hear a rape joke while waiting for medical treatment for rape.

I recognize my dual relationship with the VA and did not want to overstep any professional or work boundaries, so I went the route that a "regular patient" would take, instead of calling those that I built a professional working relationship with over the years.

My first and obvious choice was to call the Patient Advocate. I left a voicemail. After not hearing back for a couple of days, I called back and asked to speak to the Director of the Patient Advocates. I left a voicemail. I told the operator (the only human that I was able to speak to the first week) my concerns and we tried numerous departments, all of which I had to leave voicemails for.

Almost a week later, the Patient Advocate returned my phone call. Instead of support and validation, she told me that she felt that I was overreacting and that there was nothing that can be done. The Patient Advocate then turned to Twitter to publicly post that what I reported "did not happen." Public Affairs automatically dismissed my claim, yet without skipping a beat swore they take all such allegations very seriously — WTF!? Institutional dismissal of anything associated with rape — including inappropriate comments or jokes about sexual violence is rape culture.

I do admit that I have a problem keeping off my advocate hat, especially when I start noticing a pattern of bad behavior that needs to be corrected. In the biggest WTF moment of the week, a woman named Dana (or was it Donna? She acted very sketchy when I asked for her name) from the Phoenix VA Director's office literally barked down at me after I told her why I called. Because I told her my concerns first and therefore she couldn't see me as anything other than a patient, she proceeded to tell me that I "could not possibly be the Executive Director of the Military Rape Crisis Center" and that she would report me for misrepresentation. She hung up on me before I could get another word in.

I advocate for veterans for a living and have not once been treated with such disrespect. When I leave a voicemail representing a client, my phone calls are returned almost immediately — or at least by the end of the business day. Most often my phone calls or my accompanying clients at meetings at their VA result in a quick resolution. Every single time my clients ask — How did you do that? When I tried they gave me a hard time.

I already proved that I can successfully advocate for veterans, so why is the Phoenix VA making it close to impossible for me to advocate when the veteran is me?

When I visit the VA as a professional, I am treated with the utmost respect. When I come in as a patient, I am ignored and treated like a criminal. This is not OK. I should be treated the same regardless if I come in saying "I am Panayiota Bertzikis, Executive Director of the Military Rape Crisis Center, I am here for a meeting" or "I am Panayiota Bertzikis, I have an appointment at the Jade Opal clinic today."

Veterans shouldn't need me (or someone like me) to get results. The VA should do the right thing not only when a third party witness is involved, but always, even if the veteran is advocating alone. In the military's "just suck it up" culture, it takes tremendous courage for a veteran to pick up the phone or walk into a patient advocate office and say "This happened to me. It is not OK. Let's fix it." It is even more courageous for survivors of military sexual trauma to report anything because of the blatantly common "blame the victim" response that so many of us faced when reporting a sex crime. It does not benefit a single soul to make veterans jump through all these hoops.

It is ridiculous to make veterans wait a week to have their phone calls returned, when the VA already showed me when I advocated for others that they are capable of returning calls in a timely manner. Veterans should be able to pick up the phone and speak to a Patient Advocate and be treated with respect and dignity. They should have their issues resolved in a timely manner. It's uncalled for when veterans have their concerns dismissed and trauma compounded by the insensitive response from untrained and uninformed VA staff.

The Patient Advocate should be their advocate. Most importantly, veterans should not need an advocate to help deal with the Patient Advocate!

My case is still unresolved. My assistant half-jokingly suggested that she should join me at the VA to help advocate for me. I think I'll give it a few days for this issue to be resolved before I decide on what the next step should be.

In the meantime, I started this petition to tell the Phoenix VA that rape survivors should not have to hear rape jokes while waiting for treatment for rape.

David Beckham Underwear Parody

David Beckham apparently takes as a model not too serious.

Former professional football was already often for 'H & M' as underwear model in front of the camera and presented his toned body, because of the is languishing by many women and envied by men. Just because he half naked presented in skimpy panties, Briton takes his modeling job with a good dose of humor, as he now proved with James Corden.

For a parody of one of its 'H & M' spots, the husband of designer Victoria Beckham with the British presenter has teamed up for the late night show and takes himself targeted. In the black-and-white clip can see them both in underwear. Beckham with washboard cords with Raccoon belly. Stroll through the picture, are getting into supposedly seductive poses and philosophize about the meaning of life. Your Message: The fictional lingerie brand 'D & J letter' offers' underwear for a man with a great body ... and David Beckham. "
